Born in 1978, I grew up in rural eastern Holland, surrounded by animals and nature. My childhood was spent mainly outside, in nature with animals.
Animals and nature played and continue to play a large role in my life. I went to agricultural school and graduated as a veterinary technician and worked for different vet practices over several years.

Art for me is an essential part of life, a way to escape reality, forget everything and clear my head. Through art, we can do extraordinary things, visit faraway places and see fantastic creatures!

I am a self-taught artist who has been drawing all her life. I learned everything I know now from books, video's and tutorials. I love reading about another artist's work methods or watching video tutorials or livestreams, there's always a chance of picking up something new or helpful!

I mainly created large graphite drawings in black and white until a few years ago, I came across ACEO's or sketchcards; small pieces of art the size of a baseball card.
I could create several cards a day whereas a big graphite piece would take me days. This caused me to fall in love with sketchcards.
Sketchcards give us the opportunity to own original art of our favorite or well-known professional artists at affordable prices!

And through the sketchcards, I came in contact with Copic markers; watercolor in a pen!
These days I mainly create sketchcards with markers and occasionally colored pencils.


After trading several sketchcards with fellow artists and a few successes in selling them, I decided to open an Etsy shop.
